Marshaling Yard
A Marshaling Yard is a lot where trucks gather for orderly dispatch to show site. Truck drivers will check-in at a check-in trailer near the exhibit facility and are then directed to the yard to await their turn to proceed to the dock for unloading/loading. Each driver will receive a number that will be called when it is their time to transport their shipment to the exhibit hall. Usually the unloading forklifts will have built in scales to keep track of freight weights for material handling charges.
