Choosing the Right Contractor

Sometimes we deal with show managers and exhibitors who previously have made poor choices in hiring contractors (Exposition Decorators, General Exposition Contractors, Exhibit Booth fabricators, Exhibitor Appointed Labor Contractors)  …you name it, we have heard it all. In fact, at Las Vegas Expo Complete Show Services, we pride ourselves in rescuing show organizers, corporate event planners and exhibiting companies who have been on the receiving end of some bad work from someone who seemed good on paper.

It can be tough to feel comfortable making a decision on whom to choose for all the services required to produce an event, trade show, new product launch or large footprint exhibit build.  So many details, so many suppliers, so many facility rules and regulations…….   Always do your research and ask as many questions as possible before you sign on the dotted line.   Pay attention to red flags that should make you run away from that craziness. There are things that I wouldn’t want to hear from any vendor and would make me scratch them from my list and move on to the next one.

Being all things to all people often decreases the ability to do all things well.  Don’t get me wrong, Las Vegas Expo Complete Show Services can offer everything you need for a Conference or Exposition yet our Core business is providing just what our name says, Complete Show Services; we are experts in General Service Contracting, Exhibitor Appointed Contractor Installation & Dismantle labor services, Custom Exhibit Builds & Rentals, Logistics and Exhibit Storage ….and we do it better.

You want to make sure you’re choosing a vendor who is experienced enough to handle the job. If they don’t have references, or aren’t willing to provide some past happy clients, that’s a big red flag.  This doesn’t mean the smaller firm won’t do a good job – you just need to make sure you properly vet any potential vendor before you entrust your show (and possibly your career) with them.  Quietly, for over 25 years, Las Vegas Expo has provided exceptional service to show management, exhibitors, sponsors, attendees and each and every person we encounter before and during the event.  We perform complete show services with a service first attitude and provide everyone with fair pricing & a positive show experience that exceeds expectations.  We are ultra-competitive in pricing AND provide the type of service our competitors dream about.  Our structure allows us to be flexible and produce events efficiently and economically.

What our clients’ need is a solid performer for the Exhibit Hall. And that’s what we do….go over and above and beyond to outperform on the show floor.

The days of the handshake deal is long gone. You want a contract that shows you a fully detailed picture of the scope of the project. By detailed picture I mean a detailed line item estimate, the start and end times of the job, what happens if there’s a change order, the timing of onsite production and a clear payment schedule that’s tied to milestones of the project

Finally, if you’ve done your due diligence, and something still doesn’t feel right to you, move on to the next vendor on your list. Go with your gut feeling – don’t rush into anything that you’re not comfortable with. Why Show Managers and Exhibit Marketers choose Las Vegas Expo Complete Show Services is simple; it’s because our objective for every event is to answer each and every email and phone call with a gracious service first attitude. LVE/CSS carries that through on the show floor too with everyone we interact with.  When talking (emailing and texting) us during the RFP process it becomes clear that our mission is to provide everyone with a positive show experience that exceeds expectations by combining fair pricing with the highest levels of service.  And that’s what you want in a contractor.

Are you looking for a Complete Show Services supplier that has a proven track record of success?  Stop looking and email me or give me a call.  We’d be thrilled to listen to what you need and just do that better.  Mitch Isaacs,, VP Marketing, Las Vegas Expo Complete Show Services, 702-248-6200
