Bill of Lading
Bill of Lading, also known as a BOL, is a document that establishes the terms between a shipper and a transportation company for the transport of goods between specified points for a specified charge. Bill of Lading is used for any type of logistical transportation whither it be ocean, air, or land. A Bill of Lading document must be filled out and submitted to the shows General Contractor before any logistical movement of freight can start. This document is crucial for tracking shipments after they have left on a specific carrier.
